Women's Rights National Historical Park (New
York)

This park site commemorates the first women's
rights convention in American history.  It was held on
July 19, 1848 in the Wesleyan Chapel in Seneca
Falls, NY.  The chapel location and several other
buildings comprise this park site.  The other buildings
include the home of Elizabeth Cady Stanton, whose
complaints about home life began the women's rights
movement, and the home of Thomas and Mary Ann
M'Clintock, where planning for the convention took
place.
