Springfield Armory National Historic Site
(Massachusetts)

This park site contains several buildings from the
famous armory where the United States government
manufactured arms for its soldiers from 1794-1968.
The Armory Museum displays many guns from its
extensive collection.  I found it fascinating to learn
how over time soldiers' weapons developed from
muzzle-loading muskets to automatic rifles.
