Ross Lake National Recreation Area
(Washington)

This park site is located between the north and south
sub-units of North Cascades National Park.
Together with Lake Chelan National Recreation
Area, they are administered together.  The Skagit
River goes through Ross Lake National Recreation
Area.  A dam on the river created Ross Lake.
Boating, camping, fishing, hiking, and horseback
riding are some of the recreational activities.  A trail
leads to a small prehistoric rockshelter.  The Junior
Ranger booklet for North Cascades National Park
covers this park site.
