Rock Creek Park (District of Columbia)
This park site has several distinctive parts. The
largest ones are recreational in nature, with
opportunities for hiking, sports, picnics, and
horseback riding. Peirce Mill was a 19th century
gristmill, grinding grains. The Old Stone House, built
in 1765, is the oldest building in Washington, D.C.
There is also a nature center and planetarium.
