North Cascades National Park (Washington)

This park contains high jagged mountain peaks,
glaciers, waterfalls, rivers, and lakes.  Nearly all of
the park, 93%, is wilderness by law.  There are two
sub-units, north and south.  In between them is Ross
Lake National Recreation Area.  It is difficult to drive
into this park.  Most visitors hike into it.  Together
with Lake Chelan National Recreation Area, the
three sites are administered together.   Ross Lake
National Recreation Area and Lake Chelan National
Recreation Area are covered by the Junior Ranger
program for North cascades National Park.
