Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site
(Arizona)

This park site contains an active trading post on the
Navajo Nation.  John Lorenzo Hubbell bought the
trading post in 1878 and it was operated
continuously by his family until 1967, when the
National Park Service acquired it.  Back when it
started it was a major source of items for the
Navajo, who would trade blankets and jewelry for
things they needed.
