Grand Portage National Monument (Minnesota)
This park site commemorates a route in northern
Minnesota which was used by Indians, explorers,
missionaries, and fur traders to get from Lake
Superior to the Northwest (the interior of North
America). The Grand Portage post of the North
West Company has been reconstructed.
