Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (Utah &
Arizona)

When Glen Canyon Dam was built on the Colorado
River, the resulting lake was called Lake Powell.
The land along the shoreline became Glen Canyon
National Recreation Area.  Fishing, boating, and
camping are some of the activities people engage
in.  Rainbow Bridge National Monument is a
separate unit of the National Park Service but is
administered together with Glen Canyon National
Recreation Area.  Rainbow Bridge National
Monument is covered by the Junior Ranger program
for Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
