El Morro National Monument (New Mexico)
This park features a massive sandstone bluff which
served as a landmark for Spanish explorers and,
later on, American pioneers heading out west. It
preserves ancestral Pueblo ruins and inscriptions
(Spanish and American) and petroglyphs carved into
rocks.
