Cumberland Gap National Historical Park
(Kentucky, Virginia & Tennessee)

The Cumberland Gap was a mountain pass used by
pioneers to head west.  It was first explored by
Daniel Boone.  Later on it became an important
strategic objective in the Civil War.  The park site
tells this story.  There are also many trails.
